Fabulous Jinja

Well, after last writing I have come to Jinja and am having an ace time! Got here on Monday and went for a ridiculously long bike ride with a couple of lovely Swedish girls that I met here. We had a fab time and got really really tired, but then we did end up cycling about 100km! Got back to the backpackers around 6pm with everything really hurting especially my knee which I seem to have done some damage to, but it was that great tiredness where you have had a fantastic day and done lots of exercise. The people I went are lovely and we had some great chats along the way and lots of laughter. Then in the evening I met some other fab people and ended up getting everyone in the bar to come out dancing in Jinja. One of the girls who works here was trying to show me how to dance Uganda stylee, but although the hips were moving, I don't have the bum for it!!! Wicked fun though! Tuesday I was up after a few hours sleep completely buzzing and psyched for going rafting! It was a great day yesterday too - good long day on the mighty Nile with lots of swimming too. The rapids were awesome and only flipped over once! But even flipping was fab! Was with 4 other girls I had met at the backpackers the day before and it was a really good giggle. Then to the campsite for a BBQ and back to the backpackers in town. We were all a bit dead, so had an early night.

Today I have been giving my skin a little break from the sun and haven't been out on the water or anything - just been into Jinja, looking round the market and walking round for most of the day. Sounds like we'll be going out dancing again tonight and then I am going kayaking tomorrow! Last night tomorrow night and one of the guys who has been here for a while is also leaving on Friday so sure we will be all going out again tomorrow night!

Now this is what I call a holiday!!! Full of people, activity, exercise and dancing!
